The Memory of Your Wedding Matters

Every time you are thinking about your wedding, what’s the first thing that comes in your mind?

Is it the dress, the cake or the location?

Somehow you now figured out that you had one of the many typical Palm Beach weddings, that was simply awesome and even if being so typical, you can easily find some individual, unique moments in it. It was all happening on the sunny land of Florida. The beach was behind the altar that was decorated with white roses. The wind was playing with your hair, creating that super model effect for the photographs. Everything looked extremely fancy, except your dress. You wanted a short, simple, white dress and you had one. Flowers in your hair and pink dresses for the bridesmaids made it all look sweet. The groom had this sexy, confident look that was at the same time full of love and kindness. What a gorgeous view…

Paano Magmahal ang mga Babae?

This is an open letter written by a Man who genuinely understands how women show their love and how should men treat women in return. I saw this letter in my Facebook Timeline and I believe a lot of men and women can relate to this so I decided to share it to all my readers here.

Photo Credits to the original owner.

Nakaka-inis ba?

A Portrait of Love

How do you deal with loneliness especially when you miss someone important? What will you do with the fact that no matter how many hours you spent talking to each other over the phone, the longing to see that person don’t just go away? Every one of us has our own way of handling boredom and loneliness. Others would seek refuge from their family and friends while others would keep themselves busy on other things just to forget that feeling even for a while. Well, hubby has a unique way of battling desolation.

Here's the story...

Last 2006, I was given an out of town assignment in Palawan wherein I need to spend a month or two to complete it. Bren who is still my boyfriend that time doesn’t have any choice but to support me with my job. Every day was a challenge for him because we are not used to this kind of set up since we practically see each other every single day since we become sweethearts. I miss him alright, but I was so pre-occupied with the work given and my determination to finish on schedule made me very busy so basically the chances of thinking about him is very slim while I was in Palawan.

If I took the situation very lightly, Bren was somehow very affected. Since two months is quite a long time for him, he went for a vacation in my parents’ place but when he returned home, he can’t help but always think about me. To keep himself busy while waiting for the day of my return, he started sketching a portrait of me. I am not sure if he used my old picture or just his imagination to be able to finish it.

Sisterakas: Our First Movie Date in 2013

Watching movies has always been our bonding time since hubby and I were still sweethearts but that has become a luxury since we got married in 2008. Aside from the fact that we are both busy with our respective careers, I also do not want to spend for "dates" especially that I am the one holding the family's budget. But on the first week of January, I surprised Bren when I asked him for a movie date. LOL. We wanted to watch Sisterakas and/or One More Try but finally decided to watch Sisterakas after a series of discussion.

Photo Not Mine

Bren is never fond of Filipino movies since he said that the stories most especially the endings are very predictable and not mentally challenging for him. He usually likes watching war films, actions movies, anime and that kind of stuff. The total opposite of what I actually like, you know women.LOL

Late Lunch Date at McDonald's

The family man took a half - day leave from work yesterday to take care of some important transactions at the bank in the downtown area. He was in a hurry to get to the bank on time to the point that he forgot to have lunch at their canteen. I am usually the one taking care of all the bank-related concerns but since this one needed his personal appearance, he was forced to take care of it himself.

I was all prepared to go when he reached home from work. After checking all the documents needed, we hurriedly go our way. We are already in the downtown area when he complained about how hungry he was that is why we decided to drop by at nearest food chain which luckily happens to be McDonald's - Sta. Ana Branch.

Bren requested for a Big Mac Value Meal  and I settled for a Burger McDO and large fries. We did not have much time to enjoy the food because we need to get to the bank as fast as we can. Ordering the food took my time because there are a lot of students in the counter that time.

Classics About Marriage

I read about this post in one of my friend's Facebook Timeline. He is not yet married and I don't know why (maybe because of this? hehehe peace!). I asked permission to copy his Facebook status because I find it very amusing (from a not-guilty-wife's point of view) how married men see their wives. I just wonder if the wives are aware of this.

I'm sure the Family Man will definitely find this one interesting too. So, here it is :

  • My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met. - Rodney Dangerfield
  • A good wife always forgives her husband when she's wrong. -Milton Berle
  • When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her.
  • Getting married is very much like going to a restaurant with friends. You order what you want, then when you see what the other fellow has, you wish you had ordered that.
  • Man is incomplete until he is married. Then he is finished.
  • A man placed an ad in the classifieds: Wife wanted. The next day he received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: You can have mine.
  • 80% of married men cheat in America. The rest cheat in Europe.
  • I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was Always.
  • Losing a wife can be very hard. In my case, it was almost impossible.
  • How do most men define marriage? An expensive way to get your laundry done for free.

Thanks to Adrian for sharing these thoughts about marriage and relationship. I can't help but smile every time I read the lines.  I hope the Family Man won't affirm to any of this. Hehe
