One of the things I love the most about being an official member of Davao Bloggers is the opportunity to meet fellow bloggers during events and the chance to bond with them like true friends. Joining the events and activities organized by the officers and active members is actually the only reason I have to go out of the house or should I say the only social life I have especially when I become a stay at home mom. I used to participate in events frequently but slowed down when Bella’s babysitter left so in order for me to join the blogging events I need to tag along my little girl which is fun and challenging at the same time.
Aside from the invites that the group receives from the city’s establishments, Bigby’s Trivia Night is one of the most anticipated weekly events by DB members. This is where bloggers meet and bond as they compete with other participants. I have been meaning to join the Trivia Night ever since, but since Abreeza Mall is far from our place and bringing Bella to the event is really challenging for me so I just let the idea pass and wait for the perfect time for me to attend.
When hubby went home from work earlier two Wednesdays ago, I tried to ask him if he can go with me to the Trivia Night. And guess what? He agreed but with condition that we should come home right after the event so we can rest early. The quiz has already started when we arrived at Bigby's and there were lots of DB members present at that time. The table assigned for the team is fully seated so we just shared table with Mommy Crislyn and Daddy Ace.
I actually didn't contribute any answer to the quiz since I was merely a spectator and a cheerer loudly applauding the group every time they got the right answer. Bren was familiar with some of the answers but the group was really smart to have answered most of the questions. And expectedly, when the Trivia Night ended, Davao Bloggers was declared as the winner. The group was delighted with how the event turned out especially when the Gift Certificate was handed to the DB representative.
It was also the group’s practice to gather at the coffee shop particularly, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf right after the Trivia Night. That night was extra special because Chamee will be celebrating her birthday when 12 midnight strikes. Sir Andrew brought Apple Pie from Ma'am Bebs as a way of celebrating Chamee’s birthday. It was actually a surprise for her and Chamee was in tears when she gave her birthday speech due to the group’s insistence. We stayed in the coffee shop for a while then went home after consuming our drinks and the apple pie.
Our first Bigby's Trivia Night experience was not just fun but very memorable because of the WIN and most of all it was the first event that Bren and Bella attended. Bren and I are so looking forward to attend Bigby's Trivia Night regularly. I just hope his working schedule will cooperate.

Good for you mommy Rovie because at least you have a social life going on there and you get to meet other bloggers too. My oh my! I don't even have a social life here! Lol! It's just work (that's probably social there, since I get to meet a lot of people) and house. If hubby's not sleeping and I am off from work, we go out for a walk (if the weather permits) and eat out. That's our life here. Work and house, work and house. hehehe. But we make sure we get to bond too. :-) Always!
oh, so good for you Rovs, that you have such opportunity to bond with fellow bloggers in person there, we do not have that opportunity here.
